Dawn (aurores) is this glow that appears at the horizon a little before the sun rises, it is the beginning of the day, the time when the lightness of the morning continues until the sun breaks the horizon. The dawn is a meeting of two instants, the birth of light and dissipation of the night, it is just a few minutes of reunion.

For its launching exhibition, Pauline Pavec sought to reveal her gallery as a first awakening. Pavec thus presents Aurores, a group exhibition, as a sign to the birth of light showcasing pieces by Degottex, Mara Fortunatovich, Sol Lewitt, Robert Malaval, Eugenio Pipo, Jean Von Luger Jean as well as an in situ installation by Quentin Derouet. This exhibition offers the viewer a first glimpse of the ambitions and perspectives set by the gallery. With Aurores, the Pauline Pavec gallery’s desire is to scatter small indication and to update premises of new stories around discrete artworks.

More so, dawn coincides especially with the apparition of light and shadow, and it is while these two inseparable enemies play together that painting appears. The essence of Aurores is in its essence about light and shadow, hope and discovery. In each of the artworks presented and in all its details, there is a delicate fragility of a start,  this is the case for Aurores, the rippling of the confrontation between two generations.
